Good things happening today

1. I've finished the cross-grain binding of the quiet book. The last stretch was quite brutal, in some places I had to stitch through seven(!) layers (felt, double-sided tape and the cross-grain ribbon), but it is done now. I promised my poor fingers a break tomorrow; the day after I'll start with the spine and the inner binding.

2. I've actually written today, for the first time since the last picowrimo session! Not all too much, less than two pages (half a scene actually, but it's new stuff, and I'm actually quite content with it. If you are interested, check out the latest entry of otherworlds_lib. It is for Chapter 09 of "A Stitch of Time", my Torchwood/ST-Enterprise crossover, in which the Ninth Doctor saves Ianto after CoE, to help straight things in the 22nd century.

3. I've got a very cute, belated Christmas card from aeris444. Thank you so much! Now if I know how many of my 11 cards I've sent out have actually reached their destination! So far, I only know of 5. :(

4. I even managed to have a nice, long nap in the afternoon, since we didn't have to cook today. Long live the leftovers!

5. In the terms of social life, I had a nice phone chat with my friend Evie.

All in all, an excellent day, even though a rainy one. I hope the rain stops, or at least eases, tomorrow, when I'll have to leave the house twice!

writing, friends, christmas cards, crafts
