To every woman that...
One of my LJ friends had something like this, but for guys and encouraged me to do the same for girls after I mentioned it. I'm not sure the format is the same LOL, but I wanted to be original, so I didn't want to look back at that while writing this...
So, without further ado, this is, in no particular order and meant with the most honorable and sweetest intent, is "To Every Woman That":
· Watched us while we slept
· Brought us hot chocolate when we shoveled her driveway in a blizzard
· Sat and talked with us, while we fixed her car
· Cooked us a meal
· Pulled splinters out of us
· Held our head in her lap as if we were a precious treasure
· Smiled at us from across the room and melted our heart
· Shared her body, heart and soul so sweetly it nearly moved us to tears
· Who could be the bad girl and the good girl of our dreams
· Never made us feel guilty about sex
· Never cheated on us
· Placed her hand in ours
· Let us be protective and men, even when she could handle herself
· Trusted us to protect her, when she couldn’t
· Trusted us with her secrets
· Cried on our shoulder and trusted us with her vulnerability
· In those rare times, let us cry in her arms and still respected us
· Protected our hearts with her being
· Appreciated us for being a gentleman
· Never took flowers for granted
· On occasion, dressed sexy just for us and noone else
· Made us better, just by being there
· Calmed our frustrations with a kiss
· Showed us what a real woman is
· Appreciated the nice guys and allowed them to be “bad”
· Never took without giving back
· Understood that her body’s “flaws” are invisible to us, even if not to themselves
· Made our birthdays special for once
· Let us paint her nails and wax/shave her bikini line
· That appreciated the little things
· Never lost faith when our projects went a little wrong or took longer than expected
· Appreciated everything we built for her with our own hands
· Sprayed her perfume on something special and left it for us when she was away
· Bragged to her friends about what we did right, yet resolved our differences together
· Took hours to get ready to go out, yet could still be ready in 5 minutes for anything
· Let us adore her
· Treated us for who we are, and not the ghost of boyfriend past
· Appreciated us opening her door and walking on the outside of the sidewalk
· Offered to pay and never used us for money
· Let us carry her on our backs
· Took care of us when we were sick, and let us do the same in return
· Appreciated how we cooked her a meal with dessert from scratch
· Left us little notes everywhere
· “Stole” our socks, sweatshirts, etc so she could feel close to us when we were away
· Listened to our dreams and shared her own
· (This one for the military wives/girlfriends), stayed strong for us when we went to combat/combat zones until we returned to them
· “Embarrassed” us in front of our friends with the pet name she called us
· For being all woman, yet never losing her inner child
Here's hoping we all find a partner that loves us unconditionally for who we truly are :)
