Summer time... is going by

Alrighty, well I'm beginning to think that I should've just signed up for another class this summer session. Biology's such a piece of cake that it really seems like I'm not even taking that class... ::sighs:: and I don't like feeling unproductive. Actually, I was seriously going to volunteer for Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation since this week they have their Camp Week where they take terminally/seriously ill kids out to Potosi Pines for a week of camping and mucho fun activities. How incredibly awesome is that?? To be able to put smiles, laughter, and fun memories in kids that suffer and are in pain so much of the time? There's just not that many things that would be any greater or more satisfying than that... I think those are the kind of moments that all of us should try to live for. I'm sooo bummed and kicking myself right now that I can't help out with them since there's just no way I can miss a week of summer school right now. I wish I would've known about it before signing up for my summer school stuff. But I'm defitnitely going to do that next summer.

So what would I take anyway if I could sign up for another class right now? Intro to Business (BUS 101)... Yes, a puny lil' class, but one I have to take. It makes me want to take it even more now because of the fact that nearly ALL of the Business 101 classes are already full for this Fall... What the hell?!? Did everyone and their mom run out to sign up for *that* class?!? ....Apparently... Damn, it's a good thing I already signed up for my other classes this Fall or else I'd probably be stuck with night classes or once-a-week classes (both = suck). Seriously, I tried switching around a couple of my Fall classes but couldn't 'cause most/all of them were full! Is it just me or does it seem like most of the classes are filled up already or just not at 'workable' times?? Well, it seems like a lot of the classes I do want to take fall on the same times/days. I don't know if I like UNLV's new scheduling system that much anymore...

Actually, I've also been thinking about taking Art 101... not really because I'm interested but because it's a pre-req for Graphic Designs I class. Not sure tho, I might just talk the prof for Graphic Designs to see if s/he'll waver that pre-req. I mean, come on, Intro to Art? Er, I think I know how to draw/shade/coloring/etc. and I do have some experience with web site/graphic design and photoshop. Although, these are things that were self-taught, which is another reason I think it'd be good for me to get some professional or more formal training. But who knows, maybe the prof can just get me straight in the graphic design class... that'd be ideal -- especially if I do end up in the advertising field. And if I get in a management position, I think before telling someone what to do, I should have some idea of how/what to do myself.

Anyway, I was sorta talking about it with Heather earlier and she's actually going to take Art 101 this Fall. But I'm gonna think on that one since I'm not really looking forward to taking that class if I have to... :P
