I am back on the internet, and this time it had better stay that way. Otherwise it means I didn't make a payment to the cable company and they are mad. Next up, in between job searches, I should see if I can restore the other decaying pillars that are my Facebook profile and my
infinite_llamas page.
We have a Vulcan, I have seen it up close and it is one of the best possible statues we could have. Taken from Hephaestus, he not only represents the city's industrial history but also the spirit of science and technology and building huge metal things, like statues. The only problem is that when you go up the elevator to see him, you are deposited on an intimidating catwalk and can only get a good view of his butt. It makes for a poor photo opportunity. You can, however, see the entire city from the park.
Random thing: as a Firefly fan, I approve of the fact that not only can Summer Glau (River Tam) play virtually the same role as Arnold Schwarzenegger, she can also
steal his lines (about 42 seconds in; and if you ask me, she does a better job at it). This is what happens when you have the writers go on strike: we return to the days of gladiators, people get shot and things explode. Not all of that is bad, but still, it will be nice to see some writing at some point in the future.
P.S. Cats are not allowed in Mario games anymore, they cause reality to crumble around them.
