Porn withdrawals
Apparently a flist can only go back as far as skip=340 so i'll be starting from there. I'll obviously be skimming, and skipping the Heroes newsletter altogether. If there was any big news in your real lives or a fandom you know i'm interested in, please share.
Where have i been? Offline for a few weeks due to stress and 24/7 care of my Weyekin. I'll post about her another time.
Some quick thoughts on tv episodes gone by:
Chuck amped up the Chuck/Casey subtext while Sarah turned into a simpering moron and Bryce has returned to make the show worth something again; Life is back twice a week for some reason but i'm not complaining; Pushing Daisies is on at the same time as The New Adventures of Old Christine which makes me a little sad i don't have Tivo and also angry Ned can't move the fuck on; The Clone Wars series rapes canon further.
Heroes: S3 eps 3&4: I dunno. Scenes keep alternating between good, bad, and redicularious. (You see what i did there?) I'm now choosing to believe only s1 was canon and everything else is strictly AU. It's the only way i can manage not to roll my eyes out of their sockets.
And in gaming news, i've been playing Wii games to take my mind off things. Fill the hours in the day between nursing and worry and grief. I like to avoid reality whenever possible.
Lego Batman: HOMG so much fun and nostalgic. 100% cuz i'm anal. It is glitchy as hell tho. A couple times i had to restart a level because i'd pull a lever and nothing happened, leaving me stuck. AI is still no help, and the camera angles seem to be on the very bottom of the Lego series' "To-Do" list. But while i'm on the Batman subject i'd like to say this game reminded me that Batman is the only universe where i don't hate a single female character. In fact, i love them all! I know; it stunned me for a few minutes too.
Meet The Robinsons game: Lollerskates. A very addictive labyrinth-type platformer that keeps to the same feel as the movie. The mini-games are insanely fun once you get past the learning curve. I tried to collect the heaps of extras but i only had it 5 days unlike the usual 12 or so with Blockbuster. Oh well.
Now, i need sugar.
