I have recently been handed a piece of promotional material about there being a Mind's Eye Theatre (MET) group in Sheffield and to say the least it has peaked my interest somewhat but still it confuses me and I hope that you as my Friends (and most of you know something at least about roleplaying and LRPing) can help solve some of these questions.
Thanks already goes out to Sue and Uri Ed for their opinions
-I am a fantasy LRPer (but of course you already know that) and the Mage the Awakening is a modern system apparently set in the modern day, 2006. What kind of kit should I be looking for? What would a modern mage wear? Would he wear the same as me? Does someone in Mage have to look different to a normal person in any way? Glowy eyes? Tattoos?
In other LARP I would create a specific type of kit but this method seems incorrect somehow with a modern day genre.
-The MET itself and Mage; from the stuff I have read about it is very much concerning what the normal people know and what they can persieve about the World of Darkness and especially when you are casting spells and being supernatural. Does that mean that we will be playing in the streets or will we be confined to a game area?
-How much of the Mage The Awakening stuff should I learn as writ? Should I pour myself over the books over Christmas or should I attend as a naive new player?
-Any other advice on my situation?
