I take notice of your tears.
I know you want what cannot be.
I yearn to prove this wrong.
But only if you let me.

I want to hold your hand,
I want to feel your kiss,
I want to hold you every night,
I want all of this.
I want to sleep beside you,
I want to set you free,
I want to do all these things,
But only if you let me.

I can feel your pain.
I see the bruises of the past.
I want to tend to those wounds.
And in addition, make them your last.

I want to be your hero,
I want to be in your heart,
I want to be loyal to you,
Together we can make art.
I want to be your rock,
I want to inspire you to see,
I want to be all these things,
But only if you let me.

You are left at a crossroad.
The decision is yours to make.
However, know that I am less traveled by.
My path is yours to take.

I am willing to give you everything.
To my heart, you hold the key.
I want to be your everything,
But only if you let me.
