[Voice]

Fine, I give. Since most of you are likely going to be indulging carelessly in this amusement park, we may as well have a minor break from classes for the time being. However, students, be well aware that I expect a composition from each of you on how exactly your time was "spent" during the break. So you may want to take notes. And be ( Read more... )

[Albert glances into the hallway from the sitting room, raising a brow at Raine. He, of course, has his journal in hand.] And just how likely do you think it is any of them will pay attention to an assignment during this?

I can think of a few who might. The rest will simply have to make it up. Besides, it's a lesson in observation.

[amused, but he's not going to say as much] What are you preparing there?

All we've heard any mention of thus far are roller coasters. I can't imagine the children wanting to leave that place any time soon, so I thought I'd get a bag ready for Genis.

[wryly] How thoughtful. It would do them some good to realize their impetuousness leads to less than pleasant results while the results are still so minor.

[Gonna head to the kitchen. Might as well bring something along if they can't confirm if there's food available.]

You'd think with all their experience they'd learn to not jump at the first carrot dangled off the stick.

[She goes back to finishing up in Genis's room, complete with moving the ladder and looking for a new place to 'store' it.]

You would think so. [Adults so exasperated with kids. This will never change.

Sandwiches are never a bad idea. Making some right now. :|b]

[After hiding the ladder, she grabs the pack and heads over to the sitting room to wait.]

[Albert heads back to the sitting area after he's finished with the sandwiches, grabbing his own pack off the dining room table. He offers two of the sandwiches to Raine.] Just in case.

You have plenty of writing utensils?

Thank you. [She moves to take the sandwiches from him.]

Yes, of course. They're one of the first things I grabbed.

It sounds as if it will be fairly hectic. I wouldn't be surprised to lose a few pens, depending on how long we are there. [He heads out to the front of the house.]

[She packs the sandwiches, and follows.]

Genis mentioned that there were a variety of 'attractions' besides the roller coasters, so I suppose it would remain to be seen. I have a feeling the layout itself is probably far more extravagant than even Altamira's park.

[Nothing you just said makes any sense to him, so it kinda translates as "too long; didn't listen."] We have no comparison to your "park" in our world. [Astrid is already outside, having been saddled earlier. She's been enjoying the oddly warm and sunny weather.]

Is that so? [She follows after him, closing the door behind them.] So it will be a first time experience for you. Though in this place, that's typically a given.

I had a conversation with that Horatio Caine about tourism and how it is a byproduct of a more peaceful setting. I'm assuming these "amusement parks" are another such thing. [He secures his pack onto Astrid's saddle and waits for Raine to mount.]

[She hands him her pack so he can secure it on.]

... So you did speak with him. He mentioned that he was interested in meeting with you, given your length of time here. And yes, I suppose that makes sense. The location of our 'park' was in arguably the world's only resort area.

[She moves over and greets Astrid, and then mounts.]
