1) Height: 5'5 [canon height]
2) Weight: 108 lbs [canon weight]
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Blue eyes, pale silver/white hair
4) Age: Started out at 23, now 25/26 [roughly as of her third year in Luceti in March] She hasn't aged physically for a few years now, so she looks like she's in her early twenties.
5) Voice:
Here. More emotion (it's possible)
here. And for ruin mode (mildly, anyway),
here.
6) Who does the housework in their house?:
The tasks are pretty much spearheaded by Albert, though shared by him and Raine, since Caesar is lazy. Raine's learned to get better at household chores, despite hilarious packrat/hoarding tendencies in her own space, and the house tends to be usually neat anyway. Certain tasks are easier once you finally have someone pointing out to you the right way to do things, after all, though there was a reason Genis handled most of this at home (where he's said that she wasn't able to even do laundry without his help). She's taken to doing a lot of mending, in the meanwhile.
7) Their favorite foods and who does the cooking in their house?:
She doesn't really have favorite "foods", being her brother spoiled her by turning out to be a good chef, not to mention the years of not really knowing where a meal would come from, so more of just coming to accept that and becoming used to not eating that often anyway unless prompted. Though if she had any significant preference, it probably would be for lighter meals, like chicken, salad, miso soup - but her signature cooking ingredient is lemon--though she favors other citrus fruits as well. Citrus is healthy and keeps other fruit from spoiling.
She doesn't go for sweets so much unless she's specifically trying to make something with it. Like something that isn't ordinarily supposed to be sweet--and she'll have a tendency to want to make sweet dishes spicy. She is really not allowed to cook, but she's been getting a little more competent at things like basic meals -- sandwiches and so forth, but she's far from ever being a primary chef in any household. With Genis gone that's left to Albert once more.
8) What they do during an average day in Luceti:
As this may vary depending on "which" average day is selected, have a boatload of activity:
When school is in session, she teaches (roughly from 9:00ish-2:30 pm, from Monday to Thursday). Aside from that she typically finds ways to keep herself occupied in some form. She usually keeps an eye out on the journals, takes notes of various things (experiments, climate changes, etc) that go on in Luceti, spends some considerable time at the stable with the animals there (and may or may not have a ride) checks in with Taichi and others who either count as friends or students' she's keeping an eye on if she has the time.
She reads a lot in her spare time. In the warmer weather she sometimes attempts to jog a little though mostly focuses her attention to the garden outside the house, mostly the herbs and vegetables. There's also the time spent at the flower shop. And then there's her little art hobby which she might be found doing on some quiet afternoon, as well as sewing, or practicing her magic.
9) Their general sense of fashion:
Raine is fairly conservative when it comes to clothing--or perhaps practical is more of the word. Sensible shirts and pants (though they may sometimes seem too big on her) and sometimes long skirts. Sometimes there are patterns on them, but she'll usually just have her
orange robe over it. And a warmer coat or two for the cooler months. She's just never found an actual reason to wear that pretty red skirt she picked up one day. Sometimes she'll change her usual white boots for brown or black ones, and she still has this
outfit tucked away somewhere, there just hasn't been a reason to wear it. And of course this
costume as well.
10) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?:
- Most of her hobbies have been tied to creativity and her ruin mania personality - searching for artifacts, studying history, reveling in it, but in Luceti she has very few chances for that.
- She's always had reading as a hobby.
- ... and cooking. Badly.
- in Luceti she has added sketching and painting (at some insistence by housemates/friends, to try and give her something to do away from her work obsession which was consuming her in previous years). Her art varies on her mood; she usually leans toward a more creative aspect though, much like her cooking.
- She also has a green thumb given that her house back home, despite being rather small, has houseplants all over it. She's been focusing more on that these days as well.
11) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?:
Raine is... much more accepting of things happening in Luceti than she ever has been at home. It's probably due mostly to the fact that it's overflowing with different people, and different cultures and new ways of thinking, as well as considerable influence from the journey. She tries more now to look for the possibilities in things - of course, she's still pragmatic and holds back on some things. Though it's ironic that newer acquaintances have found her to seem optimistic -- most of her friends from home would not have thought her to be as such.
12) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?:
She favors staffs and wands. Her current weapon is a staff, and typically carries it with her. It has a large red ruby on it.
13) Who are their neighbors?:
Residents of #40, #50, and Community Building #7.
14) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?:
As of March 4, it will be three full years. She's experienced a lot in these past few years, and has found herself far more vulnerable than she'd ever like to be. She's gone from periods of extreme stress and overworking (a result of losing her brother and her memories and just finding something to focus on obsessively) to eventually taking a more ... resigned approach to some things, notably because of Albert's influence, but she still worries a lot.
She's become rather protective of certain residents, and there are a lot that she's come to care about as friends. It pains her to see them go, or to return without their memories, but she knows that it's just how things are. She's a bit uneasy at people thinking of her as a leader when she simply wants to make sure that people have the knowledge available to them.
15) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?:
The school, occasionally the library. Lately she's just been enjoying the area outside her house. Even though it is a little noisier lately with the community building so nearby. She has a soft spot for Taichi's old treehouse as well, though takes issue to him wanting to live there.
16) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?:
Her wings are a pale silver like her hair, but seem to have a touch of lavender when the light shines on them a certain way. She is pretty used to them by now, though hasn't forgotten certain incidents. [Such as the possession incident.] It's not very consistent, what she does with them; it just depends on which outfits have the convenient holes and which ones do not. She may keep them folded under cloaks depending on the weather/how dangerous things are.
17) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?:
Her hair is longer in the winter months, and she trims it in the spring/summer. Aside from that, she doesn't really change at all save when she's ill or recovering.
18) What do they miss the most from home?:
Genis, though that goes without saying. The ruins, the nostalgia that Heimdall brought... closure from her mother. And Lloyd, of course, maybe a handful of other people, but ... yeah. The archeology, her artifact hoard ... She misses her little house too, and Iselia.
19) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?:
Her writing is very neat and clear when she's in a business type mindset - she did have to write a
guide after all. When she's not business-writing it's still neat, but more... flowy, like. Smooth and rolling.
Her writing style and speaking style are very similar, neat, calm, usually efficient. When she shifts to ruin mode ... her writing also gets excited.
20) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?:
Not really, save she's more likely to talk about personal things in person than over the journals. If the proper prodding is there, anyway. It also depends on the reason for meeting up; casual conversation between friends is different from a teacher and student, after all.
21) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?:
One of her personal goals was to go traveling with Genis to try and make things easier for half-elves... considering that in Luceti there never seemed to be a reason for that to come up, it was easier for her to "hide in plain sight", though she's been trying to make amends to that goal lately. Trying. There just never is a good time to bring it up, really.
22) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?:
Half and half, really. She lived most of her life in a non-technological world but always was brilliant at understanding technology even though she never really lived with it. And the technology that they're provided with in the village is really... small fry compared to others she's experienced. It's different, but that's about it. Not complicated.
23) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: n/a, but WATCHES HOW OTHERS ANSWER THIS LIKE A BOSS, OHO.
24) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?:
- She is a prodigy
- She is a healer, and has spent the last few years a) honing that ability b) studying medical books and c) being tutored by Doctor McCoy, giving her an array of magical and medical ability.
- Ruin mania. As in. When she's in that mode, she dispenses knowledge of anything historical and can list off references at the drop of a hat. (Her mun is less intelligent and apologizes for not playing that well)
- her creative efforts for cooking ideas should probably be considered a talent. Rice stuffed lemons and spicy cake and other Foods That Should Not Be Combined. (But she considers this as "thinking outside the box", which is hilarious considering how closeminded she could be some of the time. Her ruin mode persona playing a hand in this creativity? Yes. Yes it is.)
- Quickly figuring out technological things/puzzles
- Artistic
25) Anything else you want to note?:
This, obviously. And then
for the heck of it.
