Missing;
[there are a little over twenty tally marks]
Those who have returned recently;
[a fewer number of marks, about half of that number]
New Feathers;
[about the same number of marks as above]
Hm. It does indicate a pattern, of sorts. Granted, the kidnappings themselves are never scheduled, unlike the new feather intervals ... which perhaps, is the only constant in all of these notations.
And this scale is doubtless smaller than what actually exists. Not counting the fact that some of these people have been missing for upwards of a month. Some of the returns weren't even from marked disappearances. But where does the different lie?
Threats;
[a slightly smaller amount of marks]
Some of these are questionable, though we've still hardly enough information on most. Since we still lack a form of a council, which I doubt will ever come to pass, some form of meeting will need to be organized of those who have a better grasp at what is at stake here. The recent disturbance, at the very least, the Blue Rogues seem to be handling. Lloyd and ... the others. There is little else we can do until it's finally contained, but ...
Even after spending a week at the barrier, there has been little else to add to my notes. Still no closer to identifying that thing, whatever it may be, and now the question of whether everything that appears beyond the barrier is just part of some grand illusion -- there is so much uncertainty, here, but perhaps I'm missing something. Perhaps in a few days, if I'm not needed here ... though one can never say what will happen next, especially with all of this going on as it is. It would probably be better to have another pair of eyes along, in any case.
As if writing any of this here is going to help anything.
Four months.

[Raine leaves the schoolhouse, though right now she's looking to see if anyone might be around the village who might require healing, or checking on people whom she normally looks in on. And if not any of the above, anyone's free to approach her, really. She's holding a couple of books, as usual, her journal just one of them.]
