I wonder... this can't be all that there is. It doesn't explain the abrupt change in the sky, for starters. Unless the barrier itself was what gave it it's color, though that can't be right either. The sky is always blue; that's science. Unless there is something else at work here. This wouldn't be the first time that we've encountered a floating island. Though I doubt this has anything to do with any summon spirits. Or Exire. And Vyse mentioned that his home was a collection of floating islands ...
Something is wrong. We haven't been ambushed, though we've been given less than that to work with. It's nearly been a week, which doesn't mean anything, if we consider what happened recently. We need more answers, to be certain, and this is the time to get them.
Perhaps the buildings... they shouldn't be too far of a walk, and it's still on the other side of where the barrier was. If there's anything to be ascertained from all of this, it has to be from there.

I know we agreed against using the journals in this manner, but there's a risk in everything, considering what we've come here to do, and what little we've experienced, unless something else happened that was neglected to be mentioned in our last exchange of runners.
That, and apparently someone has already been here and informed those back in town of the situation ... before we were ready to present it. We will need to address things in a more detailed manner to the others upon our return so there isn't too much panic. Though the supposed food shortage concerns me ...
We should begin to think about regrouping within the next few days. From what news we've passed back and forth, it appears that there is not much more to discern here, though that's saying very little. Observations take time and patience ... though I'm sure some of you likely would be better off back in the village. As well, I would like to take a look at the buildings, abandoned as they must seem.
And there is still that 'shadow' that we've yet to catch.
If any of you have anything else to lay on the table, we should use this opportunity to discuss things in more detail. Everyone's observations at this time would be acceptable.

[Raine is studying the area near the cliffs, focusing most of her attention on trying to discern what that jumping shadow is, with little luck.]
There has to be something we're overlooking... hm.
