Perhaps it was just stress and nerves that had caused it not to come. Normally, Zelda didn't think about her monthly cycles and, as such, they were regular. When she was a few days late, she didn't think to worry--it happened from time to time for most women.
But nearly two weeks--a month and a half since she'd had a cycle--
"Leonard? We need to have a talk."
He was going to think she was leaving him again, the way that sounded. Zelda cursed under her breath, then tried again.
"I mean, Leonard, could we talk a bit? It's nothing bad, I promise."
How did one go about telling these things?
