I'm in LONDON!
This city is fantastic, I can't even begin to describe it. First of all, I lucked out on the housing because Kurt, Koki, and I got a triple- and the triple is about twice as big as the doubles, which means we have significantly more room. And the view from the fifth floor is great, especially considering the neighborhood we're in.
Otherwise, I've started to explore Hyde Park after getting a little settled in. The grass is so extraordinarily green from how often it's overcast here. But I actually LIKE the overcast days here, compared to the States. For some reason everything has more of a bluish tinge to it, and the skies are much moodier, instead of a flat dull gray. People let their dogs run free without leashes in the park, which is unusual from my perspective, and the swans in the Round Pond are just beautiful. Though you should see the flock of birds that develops when people feed them.
So now I'm just trying to get my wireless set up, and then over the next couple days I think I'll explore a few museums before the classes start. I'm already halfway transitioned to the time change, having gotten about 12 hours of sleep last night, which is good. And I just purchased my first legal bottle of alcohol, though I took the cheap route with everything being so expensive. I'll splurge on a good bottle when my actual 21st comes around ;-) .
Alright, I'm off. More as I continue explorations.
