Mac users, what LJ clients do you use? There seem to be five-ish available and I'm not sure how to choose among them. (I will miss Semagic. We were pals.)

And now I am off to take a walk.

lj itself, the flist knows all

Right now I use XJournal. I wish it would track who's friended and unfriended you like Semagic did (because I am paranoid like that), but oh well. It's got HTML preview, picks up whatever music you're playing (I don't particularly care about this, but maybe other people might?), and I really like that it auto-updates tags. Semagic would keep all your old tags, even if you deleted them from your LJ, and it wouldn't separate tags used in different journals. Given that I am an obsessive-compulsive tagger, XJournal's features were nice.

Other than that, it feels a lot like Semagic and probably like other clients. Though I am usually a fan of text files, I like being able to do cmd+i and whatnot to italicize -- saves me a few keystrokes and means I don't forget to close tags.

Thank you, this is very useful! (The tag thing annoyed me about Semagic too). I track (un)friendings through LJ's notifier, and it sounds like XJournal is a lot like Semagic in ways I liked it.

XJournal also lets you search all the posts on your journal. That's a really good function if you have vague memories of having linked to something cool once, like I do.
