Somewhen, somehow, Buffy really learned to drink. She pours, pounds the bottle on the table, tips something potent into her mouth without flinching, and pours another.
Willow gets dizzy, watching. Buffy's hand gets steadier with each shot, and Willow's shakier. Buffy gets silent and cool, like she's learned to control the liquor, and Willow becomes verbose and uncontrolled, babbling, "I missed this, you know. I mean, not the drinking. Not that that's not -- you're really good at that. But I missed..."
"You missed me," Buffy says.
"Yeah."
"I figured," says Buffy. "So do you want --?"
"Yes," says Willow.
