I'm watching the tag to "Serpent's Lair" on repeat and wibbling like, well, like I'm a pathetic fangirl with nothing to do but analyze every single fucking camera movement, every shake of Jack's head, every quirk of Daniel's mouth. Their love is entirely... entire. Their love is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold. I'd been writing McKay (or trying) and feeling all liberated for not having an OTP or even particularly wanting to see much more than UST at this point, and I'd been feeling all post-aesthetic and not bound to my OTP.
And then I do something like this to myself, watch the end of "Serpent's Lair," and realize all over again how madly, ridiculously, and totally I'm in love with J/D. Dude, I miss long-haired Daniel with his cute glasses and his innocence and oh. The squee. The squee!
And the grin on Daniel's face... and Jack... and oh. Have I mentioned that this is my OTP?
(Although, shout-outs and love, the other ridiculously cute hug in this scene is also cute. It just pales in comparison...)
Dude, I'm such a sad, sad fangirl.
