Wow. Just ... wow. That was uncomfortable, in the good way. If there is a good way. You know what I mean. ;)

I love the idea that Daniel's brain is more fragmented than he lets on, that his memories play tricks on him. The idea that he might snap a bit is wonderful, in a really fucked up way. That kind of fragmented Daniel could possibly go the same route as alterna-Daniel from "Absolute Power" - same person, different mental base.

You have me thinking about these things. Also, shivering, and not from the 0 degree temps outside. Bravo.

Why do you do these things to me, Ari?

This is so wrong, and it is so *right*. The fact that you find the dark part of Daniel, the side of him that must have been so used to power, the side of him that twists and turns and has been burning deep down since season 1 with frustration and rage.

That can't possibly just dissipate in death. Never thought I'd see you do Sam/Jack, but somehow you make it so that I hate it even when I kind of want it.

This is even better than the evil!Daniel from "Absolute Power", because this isn't the sarcophagus or Shifu's mind tricks/Goa'uld mind tricks. This is Daniel. Burned out and frustrated and left behind and betrayed.

This is Daniel when he hits the bottom.

And then Sam, *gah*. See, the thing I love about Sam is that she doesn't do everything right in relationships, and you show Sam making mistakes, you show Sam falling back on something. Sam selling out. Sam running for cover.

And *gah*. The entire Jack and Daniel thing that's going on here.
