My grandmother fell again today. I'm very worried about her. Grandparents are an odd phenomenon. I know kids who are closer to their grandparents than to their parents, and kids who live in fear of their grandparents, but for me, Nana's just someone who's always been there. I remember playing Concentration with her when I was a little girl, and I remember going to visit her in the nursing home when she got her hip replaced and stealing all the things off her tray of food that she couldn't eat.
My dad is Nana's favorite child, and my aunt says that Nana goes to efforts for him and his offspring (i.e., me and the brat) that she won't for the other branch of the family. I don't know.. she's just my grandmother, you know? So please, keep her in mind and in prayer or wherever you keep people who aren't doing too well and are in the hospital and being fed intravenously? Thanks.
