Public Service Announcement

There are LOADS of email hoaxes flying around the internet and using up tons of energy every time they are forwarded (both electrical and emotional, as they tend to worry the sender and all the recipients).

Next time you get an email that warns you of terrible things that could happen to you if you open another email, or if you're alone in a parking lot and offered "perfume", or followed by a police car (to name just a few of the ones I've received), before hitting the "forward" button, take a moment to check http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/ to see if you are being hoaxed. The cite is fairly extensive and updated regularly and it includes a search function that makes it easy to find out if what you've got is a hoax.

Your friends and family will be grateful that you saved them from being scared by what just scared you.
