Quick message from Hotel Liaison
During the past week the Concourse and several other downtown hotels have filled up for at least one of the main days of Wiscon. If you don't have a room yet, don't panic: this is a pretty normal time for this to happen, and there's still lots of time for room turnover and roommate situations and such to be figured out. The official website's hotel page has contact info where you can call to check on cancellations, and will have additional hotels listed soon for those who don't mind having to drive/bus/walk/bike/take a cab to the hotel (incidentally, Madison has an excellent community bike program that might prove useful). Please use this and the LJ community to look for roommates if that's something you'd like to do.
Also, if you're holding extra rooms just in case, please consider opening them back up so someone else can attend the con who might not be able to otherwise. If you cancel through the Concourse instead of finding someone on here to transfer the room to, make sure they know if it was in the Wiscon room block so it stays at discounted prices for the next person!
