update in the exciting life of colleen
so tomorrow i am going to start working at the preschool on mondays and wednesdays for the next month or so. gotta get used to only having one day a week to sleep in.
suddenly the end of the semester is upon me and luckily i only have one class that actually has a final exam and it is optional. i have to write papers for four of my classes and make a portfolio for my poetry class. i am not really sure what i have to do for my creative writing class yet. the most fun paper is going to be for my fantasy class which is a research paper that reqiures me to have 10 academic sources. it wouldnt be so bad if they didnt have to mostly about a book that we get to choose. i almost feel like i am cheating, but i think that i am going to do the first book of the lord of the rings trilogy: the fellowship of the ring. should be an interesting two weeks. but luckily after that it is summer!! :)
it finally stopped raining. keep your fingers crossed. i am excited cuz i am really ready for spring now, minus the showers!
i went to go see my friend patrick in a play today. he was pilate in jesus christ superstar. it was really good and he was awesome! but poor guy he was singing in a low raspy yelling loud voice for five days straight and now he can barely talk! it was a great show in farmville, which is about 30 min away (where marty's girlfriend lives) it was at the paramount theatre which looked like one of those old- fashioned theatres and it had a very small stage and no orchestra pit so the musicians were on the stage. they kind of built the set around them so that the actors were walking on platforms above them and on the side of them without ever bothering each other. it was great because we could see them, but they didnt draw any attention away from the show at all.
oh also something that i forgot to mention. my best friend caitlyn's sister is getting married this summer! it is so exciting!! i also am going to help out a little bit. as a joke they are calling me the 'stage manager' for the wedding but really all i am going ot do is make sure that everyone starts walking down the aisle when they are supposed to. still its gonna be cool. and me and caitlyn are going to housesit for them for a week while they are on their honeymoon. it should be fun. they live in greensboro which is about 3 hrs from here and we are gonna have fun exploring that area a little bit while we are there. they are getting married on the 20th of june. this weeked is the bridal shower and on june 7th is the bachelorette party, which caitlyn has to plan because she is the maid of honor. which is also very difficult for her because it is going to be in greensboro and we dont really know what there is to do there yet!! haha but no worries!
