I attended Standing on Ceremony, a collection of 15 short plays on marriage equality presented as a benefit for the Human Rights Campaign, Marriage Equality New York and the New York Theatre Workshop at The Angel Orensanz Center on Monday, June 14.

Again, it was cool to talk to you in the diner! The after party was not worth $250.00 but then again it was a benefit. I was a little disapointed to learn that some money went to the New York Theatre workshop, as I was donating to marriage equity and that was essentially what the event was billed as.

Meeting B.D Wong was a highlight for me, I didn't go to see Randy, so I wasn't saddened in the slightest that he didn't stay.

I'm addicted to L&O, I actually ordered a channel just so I could get an extra viewing in!! Getting to meet him in person was a major dream come true!

Now you have no excuse not to stop by and say hello!

Also, I'm curious, did you ever get your Gale jeans?

I deleted my previous post because it accidentally got sent before I finished it.

Yes, I got Gale's jeans. They were a tad larger than the ones he wore in QAF.

Yeah right after I posted that I remembered you did post about them and I actually commented! Silly me!

I have no idea what those women were saying, but to be honest I wasn't really interested! Kathy's monologue was priceless! Actually, for the most part the readings were all VERY well done. It was especially interesting to me because I was reminded how little rights Americans have, especially gay ones. Made me very happy and proud to be Canadian. This is the 10th anniversary of legalized gay marriage in Canada (that or 7th) and I know that during the parade some couples are going to be married right on floats! How cool is that?

It was nice to finally put a face to your name too. One of my favorite parts of going to see any play that has a party to meet the actors is seeing and talking with as many as I can and not necessarily speaking to Randy. He is usually surrounded anyway. I have met and talked to lots of people that I otherwise wouldn't have seen without them being Randy's co-stars and that's part of the fun of going.

I know you were excited to meet B.D. I would have liked that too. I have liked him ever since seeing him in OZ and then again in L&O.

I also wanted to talk to Eve Best and Jillian Armenante to ask them "what the hell were you saying???"
