Why is the populace so stunned and appalled whenever death occurs?
It seems that someone's gutted corpse is found at least once every three days in this place; so why have the denizens of this pseudo-Hell not become immune to the sight of blood and the smell of decay?
The rules are even bent here; those that die raise again and walk. At the cost of what? A memory? How is that a sacrifice equatable to the restoration of a damnable spider's life?
Humanity is pathetic; but a single occurrence in the past of life simply does not pay for the amount of resources that spiders consume, for the astronomical amounts of damage a spider causes as it kills and fights and devours to prolong itself.
And those among us filth who are quick to anger when one amongst their own group dies but watches impassively when another is slaughtered, those amongst us who have committed murder upon others whether it be here or elsewhere... explain to me where the right to be angry, surprised, and emotionally pained comes from.
We need to hurry on the path to extinction. Our hypocrisy grows with each passing day, as we grow fat and comfortable in our seeming invulnerability. I never thought I would witness something so absolutely disgusting.
