hurricane anxiety

despite mandatory parish evacuation orders, my dad decided to stay at home and ride out this storm. i think i had my first panic attack this A.M., after i finally sat down to read the nola.com weather headlines in full. his decision strikes me as incredibly stubborn and unwise, perhaps even crazy. but nothing i said could convince him. and in the end, i guess i have to make peace with his right to make his own decision.

i just really, really hope i am overreacting.
