Yesterday was fun. I rode around on a bus to around the Austin area. Saw Enchanted Rock, Slaughter's Gap, The Devil's wash tub? I brought a rock back from around Slaughter's gap. It's supposed to be some of the oldest rock in Texas. 1.1 billion years old. On the bus I sat next to some chick named See-joo. I don't know how she spells it.
We traded waiter stories. She works over at a place called Razzoo's or something. Cajun food. Where'd she say 59 and Kirkwood? I have to go there. She said they have a mixed drink that is served in a fish bowl. Fried gator sounds new to me.
I got alcohol poisoning from Old English and Mad Dog 20-20 on Wendesday. I was watching From the Belly of the Beast. Joe Rogan is pretty damn funny away from Fear Factor. Then we went to Onion Creek. The alcohol kicked in and I felt as though I may have pissed off gay Omar. He and Sam left abruptly. Knowing how I tend to play the Devil's Advocate when arguing I'm guessing I was talking about the wonders of Apartheid. I have a feeling I said something not so PC. It happens occaisionally though I usually try to keep a civil tongue in my mouth.
I woke up at 7 or so this drizzly Sunday morning. I went to ESPN.com It looks like Utah's going to a Bowl Championship Series game. Go underdogs of that state university where Mormons live, I guess. I surfed around after jacking off and found a site called efavata.com or some shit where there's a list of present and future comic book movies. I think this is really cool, though Halley Berry as Catwoman, Jessica Alba as that chick from the Fantastic Four, and Jennifer whatever from Alias as Elektra is not. I thought of this because I was wondering if there are anymore cartoon movies like the Lady Death one that rocked so hard, which came out in October, that will be coming out soon. Looks like it. The End's Shadow and Sam Kieth's 4 women look like they've got some serious potential. Those were both to be announced. Other movies that have projected dates are for as far off as 2006, so who know how far off some of the TBA projects will be. Ah those comic book storyline writers are creators of worlds, regular Willy Wonkas, and I guess I'm a Wonka-er.
I think the formula for a good live action comic book movies are exemplified in The Crow and Hellboy. They keep that raw energy by not having big named actors. Good fight scenes. Good enough story. Characters fleshed out, but done in a hurry through flash backs. And BAM! All the best parts of your favorite storyline are encompassed in a movie. Another good one is Batman. Going about doing a comic book movie the way Tim Burton did with big name actors is not recommended. There is only one Tim Burton. Well anyway back to watching football.
I need to call Sam and see if I actually made anybody mad. As Brad Noel said so long ago, "threw a bottle at the bouncer didn't think that he was cool pissed in someone's drink and threw a bike into a pool...(Tequila hook plays) what happened?...head feels like I must've had some fun....) Yeah I have that I think I threw a bike into a pool, and I feel like an asshole feeling. I really can't remember shit I mean it was bad enough were I puked after noon a few times, and had to call in sick for work on Thursday. Though by Thurs night I was OK enough to go with Red to see Polar Express. That movie makes me want to hang Santa with Christmas lights.
