Waiting and humor
So I'm waiting to hear back from the guy I'm doing artwork for. I'm in a particularly good mood today, having finally recovered from what seems like months of being sick. In fact, I've been feeling so good, I've been holding myself back from sending him funny e-mails in reply to his art requests. Humor doesn't always go over well on e-mail, which is a pity. Actually, humor doesn't always go over well in conversations either.
I read something online the other day that said that women aren't funny. I had to think about that one. Apparently the author was trying to say that if a man and a woman tell the same joke in the same way, the man will be seen as being funny and the woman will be perceived as being threatening, aggressive or disagreeable.
I'm not sure that's true, I'll have to observe more female comedians and compare them to male comedians who make jokes on similar topics.
