Something of a simpler thing.

I've been thinking lately. I think I've overcomplicated my life too much again, or perhaps if not my fault, then through my inaction I've allowed it to become overcomplicated. It's all been women trouble lately, Pure and simple aggravation caused by the other half of my species.

So what's a man to do at a time like this? Easy, he turns to the lessons of Southern Rock, a song written by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Here's the words.

Well Momma told me
When I was young
She said sit beside me
My only son
Listen closely to what I say
And if you do this, it will help you some sunny day.

Oh take your time, Don’t live to fast,
Troubles will come and they will past,
You’ll find a women and you’ll find love
And don’t forget that there is a someone up above.

And be a simple kinda man
And be something you love and understand
baby be a simple kinda man
Oh wont you do this my only son if you can

Get your lust from a rich mans gold
all that you need now is in your soul
and you can do this oh baby
if you try
All I want for you my son is to be satisfied

And be a simple kinda man
And be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kinda man
oh be something you love and understand

oh don’t you worry
you’ll find yourself
follow your heart and nothing else
And you can do this oh baby
if you try
All I want for you my son is to be satisfied

And be a simple kinda man
and be something you love and understand
baby be a simple kinda man
oh wont you do this for me, son if you can
baby be a simple kinda man
be a simple man
oh be something you love and understand.

See, I figured it out. I figured that simplicity out earlier this morning, about 6am, when I was driving home. My Mom had bought me a watch when she was gone for a week. I've not owned a watch in years, and I was so damned excitied about it. It's a nice watch, nothing OMG Jacob and Co or Fossil or Rolex or some shit, just a large face, leather band, but it's mine, and I was happier about the watch than I've been about a lot of things lately.

Hell of a thing, it took a damn watch to remind me that it was getting complicated, and simplicity was necessary.

Oh yeah, check out; Vedi, Maria and Con te Partiro. Both are excellent. ChildofScorn... take a listen and revere your Guinea roots my dear.
