The kids are home. I went out in the backyard when I got home last night, and I was tackled by two tall kids. I was glad to see them, and have them chatter at me. Jim Baen died. This makes me sad. He (and Eric Flint) bravely pioneered ways to make ebooks work, charging less for them, distributing them differently. Even now, though there are more people doing ebooks, none of them are doing them quite so boldly.
