Yes, it is an unusual night. These things happen.
I grabbed some videos at lunch, because both of us were feeling kinda grouchy and antisocial. I dashed by home and tossed together my overnight bag and headed over to Cavort.
He made me dinner. Oooh, yummy. It was excellent comfort-food type stuff. And we watched some of the stuff he had Tivo'd (ooh). Well, and the obvious.
Then we watched State and Main, which was chock-full of Mamety goodness. Oh, my. We love the girl. We love Mamet. "I believe the only second chance you get is the opportunity to make the same mistake twice." Little bits of wisdom floating in the exciting jumble of dialogue. No one has an ear for it like he does. And we are sad for Hollywood that they made themselves a target.
And good sleep, and a reasonably easy awakening, although Pirate was a little cranky at me for having moved her stepstool.
