I decided that we were going to have breakfast sandwiches for dinner tonight.
Baz made biscuits
He carefully measured out TWO teaspoons of baking powder
Somewhere in the biscuit-dropping process, there was a failure
After the biscuits were in the oven, Kay learned to crack eggs. In this one you can see her tongue sticking out a little
She's not too bad. The key is to crack it, then stick your thumbs in the breach in the shell and pull your thumbs apart
It's always a good feeling to learn a new skill
Perfect!
Baz says my food is good, but my plating needs work
(yes, really, he said that. I blame Food Network.)
And on the topic of kids say the most amazing things -- he read something about Dr. Pasteur, who figured out how to kill germs in food. Then we were talking about ear infections, and having a fever, and how having a fever is your body trying to get better, and he said, "Like Dr. Pasteur! Our bodies will get hot and kill the germs!"
Kay's IEP meeting went ok. I would like her to have intervention happen more than once a week, but I guess we will just have to be good about her homework. And we can ask to revisit if she does not seem to be making progress
