It was a really pretty awesome weekend.
We let the kids sleep in on Saturday.
Then I drove them down to South Hill, fed them Costco hot dogs, and handed them off to my mom. I returned to Kent where I watched (you guessed it) football! (and knitted) Eventually, I got up and got dressed for my office holiday party, which was at Jillian's. Free pool, booyah! Also sil played video games, and today, for some reason, I have air-hockey-arm. We went home and comported ourselves in a manner appropriate to married people whose children are not on the premises.
Sunday I got up and went to church, and we sang the hymns I picked, and then afterwards I had one of those conversations which makes me so so grateful I have a
silmarian and not a mean, nasty, cruel man for a husband. I went home and demanded much huggings. I made cinnamon rolls.
Eventually, my children came home and interrupted Yet!More!Football. I let them play video games, and I played Connect 4 with Kay. Baz got to play Rock Band 2 for half an hour with his uncle in Princeton. The future remains awesome. I researched CSAs.
It was a nice, mellow, relaxing weekend. I was glad to have it.
