I made lemon cake last night. Mmm, tasty. Sadly, I forgot the chicken cacciatore I made for my lunch. There it is, in the fridge.
Tonight, I need to go get stuff to prep for my interview tomorrow at Formotus.
Hair iron
mousse
black shoe polish
nylons?
make-up?
I would know if I needed the nylons if I knew what I was wearing.
See, I have these awesome streaks in right now. They are purple with bright-blue and red bits. I'm pretty sure the raspberry lipstick goes with them and the fallback red shirt does not. The shirt and the lipstick should absolutely not co-exist.
I have a shell that's a good color. I could wear it with one of three black skirts (knee-length tulip, long suede-like, long fitted pinstripe). Or the cute (if cold) cotton skirt that's black on top with cutouts showing a white underskirt. Over the top of it, I could wear my blue suede jacket (yes, I wore this Monday, but whatever), or the black jacket with the deep lace trim, or I think I have a black sportcoat. Or I have a stylish striped shirt of many colors, including purple and raspbery and orange. I am steering away from the Full Suit, because 1)It's a startup with ex-'softies. 2) MOST of my day will be spent in very important training.
And once I figure THAT out, I have to do it all over again for MSFT interviewing.
In other dilemnas, I am trying to figure out how to ask IronKey if I get a reference from them. Also, I should track down my MSFT references and tell them that they're likely to get called soon. And put all my references on a sheet of paper to hand out. And update my portfolio. And print new copies of my resume.
As to the makeup, it's Zit Week. There is no justice. So do I get some generic concealer (my default position for years)? Or do I trot myself down to Sephora and throw myself on the mercy of the stylish young ladies. Does that mineral stuff really work?
