Why can't money be non-monogamous?
I've decided that carrying around a shopping bag (swanky, with handles, but still), because I am tired of my knitting bag and it is tatty is no good, so I placed an order at KnitPicks, because the KIP bags are on super-duper sale. They are not inspiring, but they do seem functional, and I can make something with more flair later, when I am less busy. (stopit! I can hear you laughing, you know)
And then, not 10 minutes later, sil called me up to ask if I wanted to contribute to the Powers TPB-buying fund. Of course I do! And.... I just spent that money. Grar.
Also, I'm going to try and remember to get leftover easter-egg dye kits on my way home. Then I can order some Bare, and dye my own socks.
Why didn't Knitpicks come out with the Gradated dying tutorial before I got the turquise shimmer for the Candleflame shawl? Because I think the variegation is eating my hard-won pattern. But I don't know that I want it to be dark-dark. Maybe I can overdye it all with a turquoise once I'm done, but lightly. Or that might look like ass.
