Two weeks down, 5(?) to go

This was my first week back at work. I actually still have office hour tomorrow and normally students don't show up so I'd planned to skip it, but then there's a quiz next week so they said they would show up. Sigh. So I'll go in tomorrow (owing friends yet again for taking me to/fro) and then back by noon to wait for the maintenance of heater to come by (I had to wait 2 months for this appointment, so I'm not waiting any longer!). Oh, we've turned on the heat, but it's something you always want to have a service check on. Apparently. I don't know, first time home owner and in the midwest where there are extremes of cold and heat yearly.

Return to work was fine, though I'm sure students are avidly curious as to what I had done. I gave vague clues (foot numb, blisters), but I think it sounds like an old lady problem. I hopped around when I had to go to board, etc., but they seemed sympathetic. It's hitting home stretch with only 5 classes left after today's lecture. Lots of final projects! And lovely Thanksgiving break in the middle for even more rest.

Actually every other day, starting on day 4, I've been doing some light exercises. I was encouraged to do bicycle kicks post surgery (to prevent blood clots) and while that hurt on day 2-3, by day 4 I could do like 10min of some light weights with arms on Mon, 12min Wed (day 6), 16min Fri; 20min Sun, and most recently 25min this Wed. Sort of like Group Power schedule. Except for how that would be an hour of real workout. Oh well, I'll maintain some tone on arms, and my right leg is getting plenty of workout hopping around.
