Merry Christmas!
My sleep schedule does not jive with family.
But I love my family even on not enough hours of sleep. We're working on buying a cabin to put in a family trust. Tati got CD's burned of an old tape of my great grandparents and Uncle Al talking. They were sending it to my Grandma who had run off to Hawaii, with my Dad who was two at the time. I put more pieces of that story together every year. The tape is really sweet, I knew my granny and papa when I was really little, and hearing their voices is intense. Uncle Al sounds just the same. They really want my grandma to come home, but I know that it's a few years before she does. My dad was 5 or 6 by the time they returned to the mainland, and Tati had been born.
Tomorrow we're driving up to see my Aunt Paula. She's not actually my Aunt, she's my grandma's best friend from Junior High and High School. She lives up in the snow. I'm probably going to end up taking another stab at snowboarding which kind of scares me at this point. I wasn't good in the first place and it's been years since I've really been on any kind of board.
I'll be back in time for my hair appointment and in time to do something for New Years.
