I whole heartedly agree with you! The author of that episode, Darren Morgan, also did my other favorite episodes: "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" (with the military guys pretending to be aliens who are abducted by real aliens); "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" (that guy who could foretell a person's death by touching them); The circus episode ("Humbug", I think) and the cockroach one that I can't remember the title.

Brilliant! I guess DM's a little high-strung and not much for the life of script writing. The world is poorer for it.
