(no subject)
For reference, solerika is the coolest person ever. I come home from work today and for starters, my battery got here so I can finally fix my car semi-permanently (although rofl dad needs to show me how to replace the left headlight, I don't want to dismantle the housing without him there to help me reassemble it). Dad's then telling Anne about a "scary box" she got, and I'm talking to both of them as she opens it and pulls out a Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet and she's like "...wtf is this,". Recalling that Sol told me I needed to be on the look out for a package, I ask Anne what the name on the box is and we realize it says "Anna".
For reference, those of you that know me as Anna, if you send things to me while I'm living here, address them to "Julee" or "Juli", to minimize confusion. My poor father is going blind and can't read anything that's less than like... 24pt font, and "Anna" looks like "Anne". >>;;
The point being, holy shit, Sol got me a tablet for my birthday. A freaking Wacom Tablet. It's so goddamn gorgeous. I so do not deserve this, Sol you're amazing.
That said,
This was actually a doodle I did in pen on a piece of receipt paper at work today, but I colored it with the new tablet. :D Looks... roughly the same as touchpad-coloring, but still. So far the doodles I've accomplished with the tablet aren't ...postable. I'm getting the hang of it, and it should make art posts more frequent. :D
I have also learned of the existence of hot chocolate with as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. This must be procured.
Katie and I have vague plans to go to Katsucon. I'm finally getting my Luke jacket off that lady I met at Ikkicon last... what was that, January, Duski? On top of that, Katie and I plan to cosplay Doki and Nabi from the There She Is!! videos because it'll be cute and simplistic. The con as at the Gaylord National Hotel this year, I have to get the elements of a ghettofabulous Luke costume together if not a better-made one because the place is fucking gorgeous and the dock looks like Sheridan.
I am such a loser.
By the way, I'm in a good enough mood that this is public! :D Have some Dreck Loves Life posting, internet.
