Temperature extremes, price extremes.

It's another 44 degree day here in Melbourne.
And I see people on a mailing list in London are discussing grouping together to hire a space heater.
Ah, world's apart!

It was already very hot by 11 when I went out to look at a couple of properties.. I'm more just looking to learn more about the market for the moment rather than to seriously put offers in on places..
I saw one that was really nice, inside and out.. modern townhouse, but seemed really well built. I liked it a lot, and was in my range.. only catch was the area it was in was pretty iffy. A car down the road seemed to have its tyres slashed, houses had signs warning of "24 hour security", etc..

Also looked at a nice place, although not quite as nice, that was right next to Coburg lake.. man that had a LOT of people coming through to look at it, compared to the other one. Just out of my price range at the moment, unless things fall.

I guess that's the way it goes though.. Need to look for smaller, older places, closer in.. Or just hope this mythical price crash will come through later this year..
