The Proposition / UK stuff

Well, it appears the UK is advancing in leaps and bounds, in attempting to catch up with the civilised world.
One month ago the UK banks *finally* moved to requiring PIN numbers on bank debit and credit cards when used for EFTPOS.
And now I hear that the UK govt is going to bring in what they're calling a SNEN - Single non-emergency number.
This sounds roughly equivelent to the 131-444 number in SA.

Speaking of Australia - I saw "The Proposition" last night. An Australian western film, written by Nick Cave, set in some absolutely godforsaken frontier town. Well worth watching.
