My new flash arrived today - Nikon SB-600. Birthday present to myself, from me.
I should probably have gone to bed, rather than start playing around with it at midnight though..

Good, isn't it?
I also recommend a diffuser (e.g. Sto-Fen Omnibounce), especially for portraits.

I've been planning to pick up one of those, plus a decent reflector

Certainly - maybe come around after work one day?

Although now you're living out in Wimbledon, maybe it'd be easier to meet up somewhere central in town after work instead? Although pub lighting, smoke and sticky tables don't really make for ideal demonstration grounds.

I could always come on a Tuesday night when I don't have to be up early (Wed is my day off in the week) and getting home at a silly hour is fine. I work late on a Monday so I am a little limited but if Tuesdays suit you...

That actaully reminds me you mentioned you play rpgs ages ago? I am currently testing (a diceless!) one every Wednesday which will likely to be published end of the year. If you wanna join...let me know!

Hmm.. Sounds interesting.. What sort of setting is it in? Is it a storytelling type, or is it some kind of strategy sort, or something else?

Hiya, we are testing like a beta version and the current setting we are testing is late middleages / Fantasy I guess. There is storytelling as well as strategy as we use decks / pips. If you are interested I can ask Tim - usually we start 630 on Wednesday in a pub near London bridge. Today as well, so let me know...

Would you mind if I popped along for a single session to see what it's like, rather than committing to a full campaign?
