[ARTIST SPOTLIGHT] Fujita Maiko
Fujita Maiko, I believe is a pretty unknown Jpop singer, but she has such a beautiful, gentle voice. I think some people are praising it and calling it 'the voice of an angel'. o.O But it is very beautiful ^_^ Her songs are mainly piano ballad driven and is amazing! I loved her when I first heard her 1st album, Aitai and now with the release of her 2nd album, I think she deserves some more attention! =D

運命の人 is probably my favourite song out of the album!! I believe it's an opening song for an Otome game? I'm not too sure but it's so beautiful. The melody, her voice, EVERYTHING is just perfect. 環状８号線 is a piano ballad, that is a little bland for my likely, but Fujita's vocals are nice in it. 見えない月 is another ballad, but I really like it =D It's memorable and very pretty. 未来を is a mid-tempo ballad and I love the chorus. She sounds very sincere. 二人の彼 is an ending to a Otome game (or I assume it is) and is another piano-driven ballad. I can't emphasis how beautiful Fujita sounds! 電子レンジ is again, another piano ballad. Beautiful as always. 遠くへ starts of with the violin and gradually it begins to be laced with other instruments. A great, pretty song. 目覚まし時計 is a breath of fresh air as it's more upbeat compared to the songs so far. 日曜日、僕は荷物持ち follows this trend and is a fun, catchy song. 今でもあなたが is such a beautiful song and starts off with Fujita singing acapella. Her voice gave me shivers at it's clarity and beautifulness. She sounds so sad and haunting, with each word sounding sincere and heartfelt. 守りたい人 and 横顔〜わたしの知らない桜〜 are both piano ballads. I like 横顔〜わたしの知らない桜〜 more though, the arrangement is more properly done. =D
This album seemed to be overloaded with ballads, which I don't mind since her ballads are very good. But I was a little disappointed with the lack of diversity. However, it's still very good and of course HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ♥♥
