Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on episode 2! I love reading them! :) I wish I could comment more however most of the impressions you had of episode 2, I felt too!
One thing is for sure- Kame is so CUTE! I can't get enough of Kousaku's childlike, impulsive, enthusiastic, one track minded, simple & pushy personality! His facial expressions are killing me! I love seeing him all enthusiastic about food maybe because I love food to that degree too & I can empathize with him having to abstain from overeating. LOL at how he was eyeing the bread while not focusing on what Yamada was saying to him! xD
& speaking of child-like Kousaku, there was this one scene that made me repeat it 5 times- it was when Kousaku 'kidnapped' Sister into the van & answered her question of whether or not he realizes what he is doing with a "What? It's for our date! It's common sense to go on a date first." The way kame said it in Japanese was adorable!! He really sounded like a kid, especially when he couples it with his body language & emphasizing on the 'd'’s in 'date-o deshou?!' only to get carried away with talking about Yokohama & the pork dumplings xDDD
Also, I too see the Fake!Japanese!Catholicism thing going on in the comdey lol! & I guess it makes things more light hearted but I somehow which they hadn't made it a fake one cuz then Kousaku & Sister Angela's eventual relationship might have more weight in it as well as the plot having more depth overall. However it IS a comedy first & foremost so I think it works for the series xD
Satomi furiously chasing after him on her bicycle is so funny - she makes wonderful scary faces. The image of her cycling toward the nuns who are running toward her is even more hilarious!
I laughed so hard at that part as it is definitely not something Satomi sees everyday. She must have had a huge shock & thought she was responsible xD The nuns can be very cute as a group! Another example would be how they cheered for Kurusu at the boxing match LOL!!! & speaking about the boxing match, I was eyeing Asami's scarf too! Love it alone & with her full outfit! ♥
Again, I have to give props to Kame for making me believe him as a boxer. Kame makes me forget that he's an idol. *nods nods* :) I love the expressions he come up with when he gets hit too cuz every expression is different & I think maintaining that can be difficult. Anyway I wish I could see Kame & Kattun’s Ueda box one day! hahah!
I am beginning to wonder what kind of prior dating experience Kousaku has to be so spectacularly clueless about a woman.
I don't think he has any. This makes his & Sister Angela's situation even cuter! They are both new to it all! Aaww... lol! I guess that might mean that they will be getting more pointers & advice from others along the way (as we have seen a little from sister angela asking Asami Reina & Kousaku listening to Yamada).
I CAN'T WAIT FOR EPISODE 3! It looks like there might be more serious issues in there though.
