I started a livejournal to keep up with the Harry Potter fandom. It was a way to leave comments on fic as well as post my own awful attempts (I shipped Draco/Ginny and now I ship Akame. I really do like unattainable and unlikely pairings don't I?! Although I guess Akame is slightly more likely, especially the way they used to be).
I stay now to keep up to date with JE news primarily KAT-TUN and Kamenashi Kazuya. I also use it to read JE fanfiction, although I haven't quite got the nerve up to write my own. And I sort of feel I don't really contribute much to the JE fandom so I try to comment on stories or posts I particularly enjoy although even these tend to be random.
I use my lj primarily to talk about my boring, boring life. Lol. I also use it to flail at certain things as well as express opinions about things (i.e. I've made small posts about some jdrama's and I've flailed about England making it to the Rugby World Cup).
My friends list plays an important part in my lj to me because I love keeping up to date with the people I find interesting. I also use it for fanfiction and meta posts.
