Of course you can use the caps! All my screencaps are free to share for whatever you want to use them for, no credit is necessary unless you want to let others know where they can find them, too. In case you want them, I zipped all the original, unsized caps (including ones I did not post) into a .rar file for you. You can download it here.

I agree - the film did function on several different levels. It was of course about the relationship between these two people, but also about the relationship between China and the West, and about life and death and engineering and finding solutions to terrible solutions and finding beauty and joy and unexpected places, about forgiveness and redemption, and oh, lots of other things. It was funny and uplifting as much as it was sad and romantic.

One thing I really loved was Waddington and his Chinese girl (whose name I've forgotten) - things were so uncomplicated and loving between them, and it was a terrific example for Kitty and Walter - he didn't look for that girl to become his lover, and in the beginning perhaps she only stayed with him out of gratitude, but they found something special together that was so lovely.

Oh, and I loved that line about them both being useless, too. :) It was the first time they had any common ground between them, and worked on both a humorous and poignant level. :)

*happy sigh* Look at me blathering on!

Thank you so much for uploading the caps! I appreciate it very much :) I like to credit people for their work so I'll definitely credit your caps ^^

And I agree with everything you said about the movie. The cinematography (or the locations in which the film were shot) was exquisite. This may sound cheesy but some parts just took my breath away :)

And yeah, Waddington & the girl were really unique. It was so sweet when Kitty saw them together that night, and you can tell just how much she was yearning for the same thing with Walter ^^
