This index is mostly done with tags. Since my taglist is pretty long, I realized it was easier to build smaller indices for certain topics that I write about a lot so that I and others can find specific things more quickly. If you look at my front page (winterspel) you'll see that I have a sticky post at the top which has my overall index, and within that, there are a couple smaller indices. The more I write, the more I'll have to add more. My first index was the dorama index which is very useful to me, and I'm pretty good about keeping most of this stuff updated.
Also, tags only display the latest 100 items, so it is always better to break things down more specifically. I'm going to have to get rid of my JE tag eventually because I have well over 100 posts that refer to JE in some way, and I'll never find them all if I resort to such a general tag.
