Breezy Summer Sunday Recs (5 recs, 3 fandoms)
It's super lovely outside today, so I unhooked my laptop and took to the (newly installed, instantly adored) hammock in my yard. Here's what I read:
Whispers in the Dark by wordgasmic | TSN (eduardo/mark) | 23,000 words
Summary: Mark’s mom sends him to camp to get him out of his room for the summer, and Mark is determined to be miserable the entire time he’s there, but can’t quite swing it once Eduardo enters the picture.
Why you should read this: First off, SUMMER CAMP AU. Which I love. I also love grumbly, grouchy campers who have a change of heart when they meet someone who makes them love something they thought they hated. Lots of funny OT4 friendship in this one, and an interesting (albeit heartbreaking) look at what Eduardo might have been like in middle school/early high school. I really hope the author writes a sequel having them meet up again at Harvard.
A Tall Drink of Coffee byalexthegreat | TSN RPS (andrew/jesse) | 6,500 words
Summary: College barista AU. Jesse has a hopeless crush on the cute barista at the campus coffee place.
Why you should read this: Ok, coffeeshop AU's are nothing new. Neither are college AUs with the whole TSN gang. That doesn't make this any less enjoyable! A combination of both genre's with lots of misunderstandings and pining and I loved it. Wholeheartedly <3
Signed, Sealed, Delivered by pyrimidine | Inception (arthur/eames) | 10,000 words
Summary: Arthur runs the No Sad, Big Smile Break-Up Service, scooting around the city on his Vespa ending other people's relationships. He's totally disillusioned by his job and doesn't believe in love anymore. Then he meets Eames.
Why you should read this: This has such a cool vibe...I almost don't know how to explain it. Sort of a Noir, matter-of-fact feel, yet still very big city modern. Otherwise the summary is a pretty good description. Be sure to watch the commercial it's based on!

Alex Finds His Beastly Form Hot by anonymous | Xmen: 1st class (alex/hank) | 1,000 words?
Summary: Alex definitely seemed impressed with Hank's new "Beast" appearance. In fact, he kind of finds it uncomfortably hot, how big Hank's hands are now and the power in him, that snarl. Something instinctive in Hank senses this and sex happens. Hot, dirty, stifling sex with a lot of pinning Alex down and rutting in between his legs and/or inside of him
Why you should read this: Um, it's hot. Like, rutting and losing your senses h.o.t. Warning: Hank is in Beast form here!
This Land is mine but I'll Let you Rule by pidgeoned | Xmen; 1st class (charles/erik) | 3,100 words
Summary: Charles and Erik travel across America recruiting mutants.
Why you should read this: If you wanted a bit more of the great Erik/Charles Roadtrip Adventure from the movie, this is for you! A nice look at their burgeoning friendship/relationship. Lovely.
