So me and
ilanabean42 were spamming the crap out of each other as per usual, right? We were discussing about writing styles and how recognizable writing styles are (and the way I’m totally psychic and realized what fic was hers in a heartbeat) and then she had this Idea.
ilanabean42: I wonder what would happen if JE fandom had one of those things where you post fic

It wasn't fair, Shoon thought, his hands moving to tug his costume off viciously. It had been a really bad day full of stumbles and mistakes and lots of lectures.
He vented his frustration on changing as fast as possible and getting out of the building. He wanted to do something that didn't involve singing, dancing, or any of the senpais. Finally free of the orange and black skirt, Shoon scrambled into his clothes, his temper barely reined in as he said goodbye and flurried out into the streets of Tokyo.
Shoon took the first train out to one of his secret spots, a place that he went to vent and release all his frustrations, blind to the fact that Taiyo was quietly following him, a worried furrow on his face.
He ended up in front of a gymnastics school, walking in and giving the reception a polite bow as she handed him a slip of paper to sign. "Yamashita-kun hasn't been here in a while to see us! We have missed you being here." She stamped the page and placed it in a folder, waving Shoon towards the changing room.
Moments later, he came out and did a cursory warmup, his blood still pumping from the adreline of his anger and jealousy. He focused on tumbling, starting with the easiest before working his way up.
After an hour or so, he finally stopped, panting to the sound of applause from small hands around him. He looked up to see the younger children around him, watching with wide, awed eyes.
He smiled and waved at them, thinking they were completely adorable before looking up for the time. He caught sight of Taiyo sitting calmly, watching him with hooded eyes. The corner of his mouth quirked up and he gave a small wave. It widened further when Taiyo waved back.
He found enough energy to flop next to Taiyo, the silence between them comforting.
"Do you--"
"That was--"
Their words clashed in the air and a sheepish smile was shared.
"Feeling better?" Taiyo asked quietly, his fingers fiddling with the straps of his bag.
"Aa." Shoon drank a bit more of the Pocari Sweat, barely noticing the taste.
"You know, I get mad too. How the senpai pay attention to them and not on the group." Taiyo whispered, his head tilted back against the wall and his eyes focused on the certificates of the child gymnasts on the opposite wall.
"Mm. Sometimes...I want them to see us. Us as Ya-ya-yah. Not just there. But, then I remember that we are important too, Taiyo." Shoon said slowly, working through the thoughts running rampant in his head. "That even though they are in the spotlight, they can't be Ya-Ya-Yah without us."
Shoon smiled and threw a friendly, sweaty arm around Taiyo.
"Ew. Shoonie sweat!" Taiyo whined, mimicking Yabu's voice near perfectly.
They laughed. "Let's go home, Taiyo." Shoon stood up, towel around his neck. "We worked hard today."
"Mm. We did. We worked hard as Ya-Ya-Yah." Taiyo agreed, worry no longer creasing his face as he looked forward to the next day spent with his bandmates.

I'm sure they'll be writing something better when they get older. I think I'm forever ruined in the fact that flailed over chibi!w-inds. with shinigamitabris on a regular basis because they were just too adorable when they were little.
