It's snowing!!!
The first snowfall of the season has arrived. I peeked out the window to find that yesterday's cold drizzle has turned to soft, glistening snow...I couldn't help myself - I just had to run outside. I stood there in the front yard in the pre-dawn darkness, shivering in my nightgown (I admit I was too thrilled and excited to stop and grab a jacket), looking at the swirling flakes and feeling the soft, cool kiss of the snow on my upturned face and outspread hands...My heart felt as light as a snowflake, and for those few minutes there was nothing in my world but sheer happiness...until reality and what passes for sanity with me began to reassert itself and I realized I was freezing my rear off. :-)
I'm still a little chilled...but it was worth it!
