Surrender Conf. and Spring Break

Apr 06, 2004 21:12

Ok,.. wow! so much has happened since I last updated this yo, but I don't have time to talk about it all. well, ok,... maybe i do since I'm on spring break, but at the moment I don't feel like talkin toooo much ;o)

First,.. I have to say that the Surrender Conference was AWESOME! It was much different from the purity conference, but it was still way cool. It was fun to share an experience like that with Evyn! She's such a cool girl and I'm glad we've become good friends this year! I don't know if you read this evys, but if you do.. I hope you feel the same :oP Anyway, the speakers and lessons really helped me put this whole college-decision-thing into perspective, which I must say isn't "my perspective," but rather God's. Hard to do.. and learn. So, playing frisbee with the guys and soccer at the Dulles Sportsplex was sweeet too! all in all it was way cool beans.

Skipping ahead to spring break..!!!

What fun!! I must say I've been looking forward to it for awhile, but it isn't helping my senior-itis so much. I think my teachers are getting senioritis as well, oddly enough. It seems like they are as sick of school as I am. lol Ok, so Spring break plans include switching rooms with mo and JMU! My room has a green carpet and the walls are going to be this reeeeaaaly light shade of pink (it looks good, trust me!!) and maryann's will be yellow. oh, so much to do!!
I just got back from JMU today.. and I had sooo much fun!!! The whole lesson of "God's plans are bigger than mine" definitely hit home. I had a plan that got flipped around and now I'll probably attend the one-college I said "NEVER!!" Lisa and Kim were awesome and fun to hang with. We "toured" the campus and ate lots of yummy food. Exploring was fun, and JMU is much prettier than I ever imagined it to be!There were all these white-trees in bloom and tons of willow trees. I absolutely loooooooooooove willow trees!! I thought that was way-cool. must say, I was pleasantly surprised.
So, then it was off to frisbee-practice for me! Yup!! I got to join in with the frisbee team and it was awesome! I can't say for sure I'd do that in college, but I am looking into Rugby!! I was talking to someone the other day about it, and it sounds like a good option considering I've played so much soccer and I enjoy football. Well, we'll see where that one goes. Crew is another possibility, hmmm. Other memorable events from the JMU trip include trekking the campus an extra hour or so looking for my "lost" glasses wich were actually in my pocket (oops!.. sorry guys). Then there was the wonderful food fight in D-hall (a HUGE buffet-style eating place) between the girl and guy frisbee teams. too much fun. OH, and we can't forget the rock climbing experience!!! Wow.. that was awesome :o)
so, now I'm even more excited about the upcoming college-life. Home is just way to stressful (not that college won't be; I'm not stupid). But, camp comes first!! Can't wait!! It's gonna be awesome!!
haha.. all the activities the past two days was motivating, so I went for a run this evening. how refreshing!!
