holiday spirit?
Hmm.. I admit!.. I've been a grouch and nearly a grinch this Christmas season. Working at target really made me lose the "Christmas spirit." I have to see the materialism and commercialism TIMES TEN!.. It's crazy..
..which is why a simple kindness in the middle of it is all so nice. You see, the other day I was helping this guy change a watch battery. It took me almost 20 minutes because he had these four tiiiiny screws. We chatted while I took it apart, and then he bought the four dollar battery. Afterwards, he tipped me two bucks and said "here ya go, buy yourself a cold drink or something." I started to protest, but he just smiled and said "Merry Christmas."
Ahh.. and a very Merry Christmas to all!
Ideas to ensure a very thoughtful Christmas:
~smile big
~please and thank you
~hugs and kisses
~write them a story
~share a good movie with them
~Make them hot cocoa
ok,.. all out of ideas for now,.. plus I still have homework
btw: pray for my other Grandpop,.. he fell the other day after trying to shovel snow. he went to the emergency room, but he's home now. he may have something wrong with his heart valve... and for all the other stuff too :o/
but don't let stuff ruin the Christmas must-have good mood!
